Background

In February of 1999, our beloved democratic president William Clinton was acquitted of his charges, and was not removed from office, despite some of the houses best efforts. Below is a timeline I created leading up to the events of the vote within the house on whether or not to impeach the president for his actions and shortcomings. Clinton was accused of sexual- misconduct, and although he originally denied the accusations, he eventually admitted to an affair with the infamous Monica Lewinsky.
Below is the timeline I created, along with videos of the major speeches and interviews that went on before or during the impeachment trial:

Timeline

May, 1994- Paula Jones accuses President of sexual harassment in an Arkansas hotel room during his term as governor. He made sexual advances that she claims to have denied.

(Paula being interview by Ruby Wax about her encounter with Bill Clinton.)

1995- Monica Lewinsky begins working at the White House as an intern, although she was not interested in having a political background.

1996- Sexual encounters between President Clinton and Monica Lewinsky had occurred, and she is transferred to a job at the Pentagon.

Clinton is re-elected as President of the United States for a second term.

1997- Monica Lewinsky has begun meeting with Linda Tripp, who has the idea that she should start taping the interactions between Monica and the President. These videos are later used against the couple, who become very upset with Linda Tripp.

Lawyers that were involved in the Paula Jones Sexual Harassment case against Bill Clinton approach Monica Lewinsky.

1998-
January:

Monica Lewinsky denies that an affair or sexual relations has happened with the President.
Linda Tripp tells investigators about video content she has between Lewinsky and Clinton.

Bill Clinton makes a public statement claiming that he, "did not have sexual relations with that woman!" and thus denying the affair with Monica Lewinsky.

(This is a video of Bill Clintons speech to the nation in which he denies having an affair with Monica, and makes his famous line)

August:
Monica Lewinsky decides to testify in front of a grand jury against Bill Clinton.

(An interview with Monica Lewinsky and Barbara Walters on her affair with William Clinton in 1999.)

President Clinton is the first President to testify in front in front of a grand jury, and afterward he made a televised broadcast admitting to his affair with Monica, and how he knew it was inappropriate.

(Clinton's official apology to the nation, and admitting to his inappropriate behavior with Monica Lewinsky.)

President William Clinton's DNA is found on Monica Lewinsky's dress, which she used as evidence to testify against him.

December:
The United States House of Representatives vote to impeach President Bill Clinton, but lose guilty: 45 and not guilty: 55

1999: Bill Clinton is not impeached. He is acquitted and not removed from office.
